The Florida Institute for Child Welfare (FICW) invites applications for a research faculty position, Program Director of Research Dissemination.  

 

Responsible for leading the dissemination of the Institute’s research and evaluation (R&E) core work products, with a focus on translation for multiple stakeholder audiences including, but not limited to the Florida legislature and staff, community practitioners/workforce, academics, and the general public. Serves as the primary point of contact for departmental faculty and staff for dissemination support

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Responsible for leading the dissemination of the Institute’s research and evaluation (R&E) core work products, with a focus on translation for multiple stakeholder audiences including, but not limited to the Florida legislature and staff, community practitioners/workforce, academics, and the general public. Serves as the primary point of contact for departmental faculty and staff for dissemination support. Develops, executes, and monitors a regular schedule of research and evaluation dissemination, to include internal and external projects. Collaborates with internal and external researchers to develop multi-pronged dissemination plans for work products. Serves as the R&E liaison to the FICW communications team. Leads or delegates the production of non-project-based R&E content relevant to child welfare (e.g., infographics, literature reviews) for multi-audience consumption. Plans and executes bi-annual Child Welfare Research Conference with support from FICW administration team. Conducts ongoing CQI for dissemination efforts with support from the FICW communication team. Supports the Associate Director in the strategic planning and execution of R&E Dissemination: 1) Leads the delegation, organization, and compilation of all R&E reports to the legislature, including quarterly and annual report sections; 2) Reviews all internal and external reports and deliverables for quality and soundness, collaborates with PIs to address concerns before Associate Director provides final review; 3) Develops and executes a tracking system for R&E-produced recommendations made to internal and external stakeholders. Provides recommendations to the Associate Director for follow-up and collaborations based on prior recommendations. Conducts research and evaluation. Serves as short-term/ad hoc evaluation liaison for the GROW Center. Conducts and/or oversees Level 1 evaluations (or similar) of research-based dissemination activities (e.g., webinars, annual symposium) and prepares reports for the Associate Director. Can contribute to active R&E projects at the discretion of the Associate Director and relevant project PI (i.e., leading or supporting specific ongoing projects in a researcher capacity).

 

 

Qualifications

 

Applicants must have a doctorate in social work or a related field. ABD candidates who will complete doctorates prior to the position start date will be considered.
