Major/Essential Functions

Primary duty will be to teach graduate-level courses and provide clinical supervision in an online setting for the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Program. Other duties will include advising students, curriculum development, engaging in scholarly development, and service activities. Specific teaching assignments are dependent upon department needs and individual expertise. Candidates must be a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or eligible for certification within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, Rehabilitation Counselor Education, or closely related field (must qualify as core faculty by CACREP standards). Preferred candidates will be licensed in the State of Texas or eligible for license within one year. A record of professional or scholarly productivity is desirable. Faculty supervision experience is preferred.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Occasional Duties

This position may also include an appointment as Program Director for the MSCR Program. The Program Director duties include, but are not limited to: day to day running of program, managing budget of program, supervision of program faculty, and reporting of program outcomes and needs. Program Directors will participate in administrative duties and responsibilities as needed by the department and School of Health Sciences.
