Job Summary:
The Assessment Coordinator, School of Education reports to the Director of the School of Education and is responsible for the planning, administration, and implementation of all assessment initiatives within the SOE . The Assessment Coordinator is also responsible for the following critical initiatives within the SOE : Title II reporting, collection of data for CAEP accreditation, collection and set up of rubrics into TaskStream, design and analysis of statistics required for CAEP, reporting on student achievement, surveying alumni, and all initiatives involved in outcomes-based assessment. The Assessment Coordinator works closely with the Certification Officer in the School of Education; the Program Directors within the SOE to ensure that all appropriate data is being collected and accurate reports are being generated; and the SOE administrative assistants to ensure correct entry of data.
Required Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in statistics or assessment required; a doctorate preferred
2. Background in assessment of higher educational programs
3. Strong statistical analysis and computer skills
4. Thorough knowledge of SPSS, or other appropriate statistical packages
5. Strong interpersonal and oral and written communications skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical constituents.
6. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
