Schedule: M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm; Evenings and weekends as needed. Hours may include working outside of a normal workweek schedule as well as working in multiple college/community locations as needed to meet workload demands.

Position Summary

The Columbus City Schools Recruitment Coordinator is an experienced recruiter who is a persuasive communicator and relationship builder with a passion for the great outcomes that can result from a Columbus State education. Leveraging K-12/high school contacts and relationships, this role coordinates recruitment and onboarding support for Columbus City School students. This role is responsible for increased coordination between CSCC, CCS, and IKIC, career exploration and education, and one on one student recruitment efforts. This position requires someone who can build rapport quickly and maintain relationships with potential students, K-12 administrators, internal partners, and other key stakeholders. The incumbent will excel at communicating to a diverse audience in a variety of settings and possesses strong presentation skills with a knack for building robust relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Recruitment

Represents and promotes the College and recruits prospective students for Columbus State programs. Arranges and conducts targeted recruitment activities, seeks to grow a pool of prospective students and, through a combination of mass communication and individual relationship building, nurtures prospects continuously throughout admission and enrollment. Establishes expertise in the characteristics, goals, media consumption habits, and locations of prospective students and leverages this expertiseto attract quality students.

Maintains regular contact with future students and performs follow-up communication to ensure they are progressing through the application/enrollment process. Collaborates with and executes referrals to department faculty and staff, admissions office team members, and other college departments/personnel to facilitate enrollment. Assists with on-campus visits, one-on-one student appointments, student emails, providing campus tours, special event programming, and other internal and external recruitment activities.

Territory Coordination & Engagement

Generate a network of contacts within the K12 community comprised of principles, counselors, teachers, and community leaders to assist in yielding enrollment.Establishes internal relationships with partners throughout the College to identify recruitment opportunities and coordinate territory outreach to yield prospective students.

Remains knowledgeable on local, state and national workforce trends, and the College’s offer (credit and non-credit) to effectively present educational program options and transfer opportunities to assigned K-12 territories to grow enrollment.

Works with academic department faculty and staff to facilitate a deep understanding of the College’s programs and associated academic, co-curricular, and career- development opportunities. Specifically building connections with the Columbus Promise department as well as other student support services designed to support and guide Columbus City School students.

Administrative

Tracks territory recruitment and engagement activities, evaluates their effectiveness and recommends outreach changes and improvements. Keeps accurate records, completes and maintains all required documentation, including input of contacts into CRM, as well as outreach activity statistics and reports.

Audits and tracks competitor activity in order to articulate the College’s unique offer and the advantages realized by recent graduates of the College; provides recommendations/briefings to inform marketing efforts designed to differentiate College programs.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity while meeting federal as well as internal regulations and procedures, with the ability to adapt to changing needs of institutions and business partners.

Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with diverse groups and communities. Working Conditions

Normal office working conditions. Travel may be required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: territory management, marketing, recruitment and outreach operations; communication and relationship-building strategies; customer service and public relations principles; community college philosophy and operations; student development; admissions and enrollment management objectives and strategies; family rights and privacy act; report development and analysis; event planning; student information system functions and queries; computer software programs, applications, database management; standard office practices and procedures. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Higher Education Administration, or a closely related field. Five (5) years of tangible success in an outside sales, Admissions recruitment, and/or marketing and promotional environment. Three (3) years of documented success in a territory management/coordination function. State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
