Adjunct Faculty Credit - Philosophy

Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Day/evenings/weekends depending upon course schedule. For Spring 2023, we are specifically looking for someone to teach two sections of Business Ethics. One section meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 10:30am and runs January 17 to March 12. The other section meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12:30pm and runs March 13 to May 14^th.

***This position will be used to obtain a pool of qualified candidates for the above subjects. As teaching needs arise, these applications will be reviewed for possible interviews***

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain “Under Review by Committee” for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.

Job Description: The Philosophy Department is looking to hire qualified applicants for the Spring 2023 semester. We specifically have a need for someone to teach two sections of Business Ethics. Education Requirements: The minimum requirement is an M.A. in Philosophy or an MA in a related discipline with 18 semester hours in graduate level philosophy from an accredited institution.

Experience Requirements: Teaching experience is preferred

* Both graduate and undergraduate transcripts and required for consideration.
