Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Software Engineering - Game

The Computer Science and Software Engineering Department at Penn State Behrend invites applicants for an Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2023.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach core Computer Science, Software Engineering and Game Development courses in theory, systems, programming, as well as develop elective courses, and to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and research scholarship. Preferred areas of research interests include, but are not limited to, game development, game programming, cloud game development, and app development.

A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required by the employment start date.

Research at Behrend is integrated into the learning experience for our faculty and undergraduate students. Research can be fundamental or applied and supports our Open Lab philosophy, where learning and discovery are applied to solve problems defined in partnership with external stakeholders. Cross-disciplinary and collaborative research is encouraged.
