Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the Director of the Digital Recruitment Experience, the Assistant Director will strategically and successfully assist in managing and executing the multi-media communications and engagement plan for prospective undergraduate students (freshmen, transfer, international) across multiple platforms. In addition, this position will be responsible for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Social Media strategy, including the development of video content and strategically aligning organic and paid social media campaigns with the overall communication plan.

Job Duties:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of Maryville University’s undergraduate recruitment strategies, market demographics and psychographics, brand promise, competitive and environmental challenges and other factors that drive the success of undergraduate recruitment and enrollment.

Strategize, develop, and implement mobile-first, video-based content on various social media platforms.

Continuously converse with, track the progress of, and follow up with all prospective students through the Enrollment CRM system from the point of initial contact through matriculation.

Generate weekly and monthly reports on the effectiveness of prospective student engagement strategies/activities utilizing key metrics and other data across various CRM and social media platforms.

Assist in coordinating information and developing messaging and materials regarding admission, programs of study, scholarships, financial aid, etc., to attract diverse students to Maryville in collaboration with the internal Marketing department and external vendors.

Work collaboratively with faculty and other departments within the institution to expand the Maryville brand.

Bring new and innovative communication ideas/strategies that align with current branding efforts to the organization and drive implementation and yield.

Assist with recruitment activities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-3 years of significant work experience in Marketing/Enrollment Management/Sales
  • Experience in creating and managing content on Social Media platforms such as YouTube, Tik Tok, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
  • Exceptional strategic, critical thinking and creative mindset
  • Strong results orientation, timeliness and follow through
  • Strong team player and collaborator, yet ability to work independently and proactively meet and exceed expectations
  • Experience in shooting, editing, and producing video content in short form designed for social media and web platforms
  • Succeed in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Experience developing comprehensive communication flows
  • Proven analytical skills across social media and web platforms
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with various external constituencies
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and ability to interpret data
  • Strong understanding of social networking, social media tools and current communication trends (including video, mobile, SMS)
