Washington and Lee University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics beginning fall 2023. This position is a two-year, full-time position, authorized due to sustained enrollment demand, with the possibility of renewal. Applicants should have demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduates and ability to teach calculus-based introductory physics courses and associated laboratories. Instruction of additional courses in circuits, mechanics, or contemporary physics topics may be necessary.

Ph.D. in Physics is required. Strong candidates nearing completion of the Ph. D. may also be considered for appointment at the rank of visiting instructor. The person we hire will teach six courses each academic year.
