The Sociology Department at Midwestern State University, an affiliate of the Texas Tech University System, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2023.

Wichita Falls, TX is home to Midwestern State University. Wichita Falls is a quiet community located in North Central Texas, approximately two hours from both the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex and Oklahoma City.

Position

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D., or be ABD, in Sociology.  The teaching load is 4/4, with three unique courses per semester.  Teaching responsibilities include Introductory Sociology, Research Methods, Criminology, and either Sociology of Education, or Religion as an Institution.  Other areas open.
