The Philosophy & Religion Department at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Adjunct instructor to teach Religion. The ideal candidate should be able to teach a section of World Religion or Judaism or both as introductory-level courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teaches and evaluates up to 6 credit hours in the 2022-23 academic year
  • Designs courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
  • Plans lessons
  • Grades assignments, essays, etc.
  • Responds to student needs in person or electronically
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Religious Studies (or allied field) required, Ph.D. preferred
  • Ability to teach introductory courses in Religious Studies, specifically World Religions or Judaism required
  • Ability to teach both World Religions and Judaism preferred
  • Previous collegiate teaching experience in Religious Studies preferred
