The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CS&IS) at Bradley University is expanding rapidly and invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professors/Lecturers to begin in August 2023.

The tenure-track Assistant Professor positions require a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field; candidates working on their dissertation with an expected graduation date before August of 2023 will be considered. Candidates with research interests in all areas in computer science or computer information systems will be considered; candidates with an interest in software/Web/information/cyber security, or computer game design and development, or artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science, or database management systems, or software engineering, or computer architecture and operating systems will be given preference. The successful candidate is expected to develop into an outstanding teacher, establish and maintain a productive and rigorous research program, actively seek funding for research, involve students in his or her research activities, and participate in service. The teaching load for Assistant Professors is nine semester hours per semester. Some teaching experience is preferred.


The tenure-track Lecturer positions require a MS in Computer Science or a closely related field. The teaching load for Lecturers is twelve semester hours per semester. The successful candidate is expected to develop into an outstanding teacher. Some teaching experience is preferred.

The department currently consists of 14 tenured/tenure track faculty members. There are BS and MS degree programs in both Computer Science and Computer Information Systems with multiple concentrations.
