McDaniel College is pleased to announce the search for its next Provost. Dedicated to excellence in the liberal arts and sciences and in professional studies, McDaniel is one of the original "Colleges That Change Lives," McDaniel is committed to access and affordability and has experienced significant growth in its undergraduate student population over the last four years. Founded in 1867 as one of the first coeducational colleges in the nation and the first south of the Mason-Dixon Line, the College now enrolls 3000 undergraduates and graduate students from over 30 states and 30 countries, and has a branch campus in Budapest, Hungary. The next provost will be joining McDaniel at a critical time for planning and contributing to the institution as part of realizing McDaniel College 2022-2027 Strategic Plan: Reaching New Heights.More information about McDaniel College can be found on the website: https://www.mcdaniel.edu/.

The provost has broad responsibility over both academic and campus life, assuring their alignment with the College's mission and strategic plan. The next provost will envision and spearhead many new college initiatives including developing new academic programs at both graduate and undergraduate levels, establishing a comprehensive institutional focus on holistic wellness, and leveraging already strong relationships between the college and the surrounding community to further enhance the student and employee experience. Additionally, the provost will meaningfully contribute to furthering of the College's proactive commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the enhancement of the McDaniel Commitment, and the establishment of a new master planning process.

The provost supervises the Dean of Students, Dean of the Faculty, Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, Dean of McDaniel Europe, and all full-time faculty and lecturers. The position also supervises the Director of the Library, Director of Institutional Research and Sponsored Programs, the Interpreting Services Coordinator, and the Executive Assistant to the Provost
