Job Summary:
Provides direct support to the Bursar in handling administrative and accounting duties related to certain aspects of student account billing and activity within the Business Office.
Responsible for daily reconciliations, financial aid, 3rd-party receivables, and managing miscellaneous charges to student accounts from college departments. This Position requires the ability to use independent judgment with a thorough understanding of the operating policies and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision. Performance evaluation is based upon the completion of assets and results obtained.
  • Attend work timely and regularly during the established hours of operation; work additional hours as business necessitates.
  • Practice superior customer service.
  • Display respect and civility to all constituencies regardless of the method of communication.
  • Knowledge of Business Office workflows.
  • Display respect and civility to all constituencies in all communications.
  • Assists students and departmental personnel with account-related questions.
  • Manage transfers of all financial aid.
  • Manage student refund process and payment returns, including student notification and inquiries.
  • Record miscellaneous charges to students' accounts.
  • Manage daily cash receipt reconciliations.
  • Responsible for application of all miscellaneous charges to AR Accounts and process accounts for adjustment.
  • Interact with Bursar and other College departments to create innovative enhancements for business processes and productivity improvements.
  • Backup support for other department staff
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree
