Adjunct Lecturer in Management, Healthcare Management

The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Lecturer in Management for an undergraduate level course titled Healthcare Management for Spring 2023 (currently scheduled at 6:00 – 7:50 PM) and future semesters. All applicants must be available to teach in person. The Spring 2023 semester runs January 17th, 2023 until May 10th, 2023.

The course will provide students with an overview of how healthcare institutions are organized and governed, the role of the management staff, physicians, nurses, and other clinical and support staff in these organizations, and the management systems designed for their efficient and effective operation. Course participants will learn key principles and practices of health care organizations. This course is very broadly applicable to healthcare enterprises of every kind: public health organizations, physician practices and clinics, hospitals and health systems, agencies and service organizations, for-profit firms, and not-for-profit enterprises.
