The position provides operational oversight for the Division of Information Technology Desktop Management Support. Desktop Support includes all technology and software utilized by campus users. Work includes participating in developing strategic and tactical objectives, designing and managing initiatives to meet objectives for desktop support, participating and potentially chairing technology advisory committees or subcommittees, managing all desktop hardware and software upgrades, managing deployment of new hardware, applications and systems, addressing user issues and concerns along with routine assessment of offered services to determine their efficiency and effectiveness along with customer satisfaction levels. This position will also support and maintain the universities Virtual Desktop Environment. Position will also provide administration functions for the following tools: JAMF Pro, SCCM, , Crestron XIO, and Cisco Webex Control Hub for devices, Nutanix Frame, Auditing functions for vulnerabilities, patch management, hardware, software, Webex, and Zoom.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements:  Entry level with Master’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s degree and 2 to 3 years’ experience in an information technology field related to the position’s role; or graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in an Information Technology area and related experience.

Management Preferences:  Higher Ed Experience, three to five years Desktop Management Experience; Bachelor’s Degree; Familiarity with: Group Policy Creation, SCCM/InTune/Autopilot, JAMF Pro, SCCM, Crestron and Webex Platforms, AV Programming, Classroom Design, Classroom Integration, PatchMyPC, Nutanix Frame.
