Job Description

Serves as primary customer contact for department.
Receives incoming phone calls and directs inquiries to appropriate staff.
Follows up with customers to insure a satisfactory response.
Greets visitors and provides assistance with direction.
Customers and visitors include contractors, consultants, faculty, staff, and students.
Receives, sorts, and process utilities bills for MU buildings that are not on campus.
Enter data into our utility billing system and reconcile batches of invoices.
Responsible for setting up, scheduling, and documenting all utility locates for campus.
Notifies appropriate campus staff of utility locates prior to excavation.
Resolves conflicts resulting from schedule, time, and scope changes.
Coordinates orders and distributes uniforms, personal protective equipment to staff.
Maintains database of equipment issued to staff.
Distributes safety shoe and prescription safety glass vouchers, makes payment for department to vendors.
Composes correspondence and performs word processing / copying of various documents for staff members.
Sorts department mail, routes mail and information to staff.
Receives and ships packages for department.
Receives and enters hot and cold calls from service desk.
Enters man hours for work orders into Maximo database.
Place work orders for the department through Service Desk, getting funding details and forwarding back to requestor when assigned work order number.
Schedules departmental meeting room facilities and makes necessary meals arrangements, room setup, equipment needs for meetings and training sessions.
Maintains departmental car pool vehicles records, maintenance and reconcile fuel receipts.
Maintains departmental communication equipment, assignments and maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires sitting and/or standing, and walking.
Must be able to bend and/or reach on occasion.
Capable of transporting materials regularly.
Duties imply the use of a computer and other office technology involving fine finger movements.
Communicate orally and I writing with various audiences.

Salary

Salary Range: $13.67 - $23.87

GGS Grade: 6

7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Monday through Friday

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be required is necessary.
Four years progressively responsible office experience is necessary
Education or training beyond high school may be substituted for experience
