The University of South Carolina Lancaster, a regional campus of the University of South Carolina located approximately thirty-five (35) miles south of Charlotte, NC seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in Criminal Justice beginning August 16, 2023.
The position requires a PhD in Criminal Justice including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach foundational courses for freshmen and sophomore students, there are opportunities to teach upper-division courses in the University’s Palmetto College bachelor’s degree programs.
The position will normally require the teaching of twelve credit hours per semester or its equivalent. One course release a year is given for tenure-track faculty.
Scholarship, advising, and university/community service are expected.
Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Master’s in social work and/or a focus in tribal law.
