Job Summary

The Implementation Coordinator for School Safety and Violence Prevention will lend their expertise to the implementation efforts on school-based violence prevention and safety projects at the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV). The successful candidate will have extensive facilitation and/or coaching experience in schools, strong skills in relationship building, and should be detail-oriented, adaptable, and a team player. This position will contribute to CSPV projects that aim to translate research-informed approaches into practice with K-12 schools. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating school-team meetings, delivering training and technical assistance to school teams (K-12), assisting with the development of implementation processes and/or trainings related to climate, culture, and safety for school partners across Colorado.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Implementation Coordination and Facilitation
  • Contribute to planning and coordination of various projects that focus on school climate, culture and safety.
  • Facilitate meetings and trainings with school teams to identify, prioritize, and address challenges based on data.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to school staff and leadership.
  • Develop materials to support project tasks (e.g., PowerPoints, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Communicate with project partners regarding support, trainings, resources, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate survey administration with sites.
  • Download and create basic reports for internal discussion and planning.
  • Update database on project activities.
  • Create and submit expense reports based on university policies.
Collaboration with Partners and Stakeholders
  • Collaborate with external consultants and CSPV staff to develop school trainings on topics such as trauma-informed practices, staff wellness, and student/staff relationships.
  • Develop and maintain positive, healthy relationships with CSPV partners.
  • Collaborate with CSPV staff and partners to support systems and strategies for violence prevention & school safety.
  • Assist with planning and facilitation of internal and external meetings using research-based practices and processes.
  • Clearly articulate (verbal/written) information related to project implementation to various audiences including: schools, parents, community stakeholders, grant funders, etc.

What You Should Know
  • This is a grant-funded position funded through 9/30/2024 with the potential to extend if budget allows.
  • Willingness and ability to travel in-state to support projects or attend conferences, averaging up to 15% of time.

What We Can Offer
  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000.
  • Flexible Working Environment: A hybrid work schedule is offered with a minimum of two days in the office.

What We Require
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a teacher leader, instructional coach, adult learning specialist, mental health professional, or administrator in a K-12 environment.
  • Experience facilitating trainings and discussions with people from a variety of backgrounds.

  • Willingness to travel in-state using your own transportation.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of CSPV.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience presenting information to large groups of diverse stakeholders.
  • Formal coaching training or certification.
  • Experience working in schools, preferably with a variety of ages (elementary, middle, and high school).
  • Knowledge of safety practices and violence prevention strategies in schools and/or communities.
  • Background and experience within at least one of our areas of focus (e.g., youth mental health, school culture and climate, threat assessment, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data collection and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
