Job Description

Within the College of Professional Studies, the Business Data Analyst is responsible for collecting data, producing insights, creating relevant collateral/data visualization reports, and recommending actions to support business needs. The role provides consultative support, insight, advice and expertise to guide decision-making across lines of business by leveraging and interpreting data and analytical models.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Two (2) plus years of analytics-driven insights experience.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Experience working cross functionally, synthesizing needs across multiple divisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely organized, independent and enjoys the challenges of managing multiple projects and collaborating in a fast-paced remote work environment.
  • Highly analytical and strategic.
  • Experience working within Excel, Tableau, or other such data and visualization tools is required.

Inform strategy:
  • Interpret and translate metrics into action-oriented strategies.
  • Aggregate data into insights to show implications, and drive recommendations that are specific and actionable for across the business.
Measure performance:
  • Collect data from a variety of sources and platforms in a standardized manner as to inform strategies for multiple lines of business.

Report on insights:
  • Standardize performance analytics, develop framework for regularly reporting performance results and insights, and become a strategic advisor to the representatives of each line of business by using data to guide the planning processes.
Establish KPI’s and reporting metrics:
  • Work with stakeholders to identify key metrics used to evaluate performance.
  • Lead meetings to discuss performance trends and insights with key stakeholders.
