Job Description
The Questrom School of Business at Boston University seeks to hire a non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor trained in Innovation, Entrepreneurship or Business Strategy. The anticipated start date for this faculty position is July 1, 2023.
Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses in innovation and entrepreneurship across the Questrom School’s graduate and undergraduate programs, support BU’s cross-campus undergraduate Minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and engage outside the classroom with the university’s thriving Innovate@BU initiative.
Clinical faculty are also expected to engage in academic research and publish their work in peer-reviewed and professional journals. The Questrom School of Business is building a strong group of faculties with expertise in all aspects of innovation, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise. Key hires in this area in recent years represent a strategic focus for the school. The academic strengths of the Questrom School in entrepreneurship and innovation and the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in which it is embedded present a unique and exciting opportunity to develop a cross-disciplinary research agenda that investigates innovation pathways and methods, ecosystem dynamics, and/or patterns of entrepreneurship.

Required Skills
Candidates are expected to have a PhD or equivalent terminal degree in core business-oriented disciplines with expertise in areas such as strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology transfer, venture capital, and organization theory. We particularly encourage applications from candidates who also have relevant non-academic professional experience. The successful candidate upon hiring will be appointed to a department in Questrom School of Business, such as the Strategy & Innovation Department, the Markets Public Policy and Law Department, or the Management & Organization Department, that is close to their area of expertise.
