Job Summary

Working collaboratively with Advancement Services, Development, Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, the Manager of Prospect Development will oversee the Prospect Management/Moves Management System while also overseeing a team of prospect development professionals in our efforts to advance fundraising efforts at Georgia Southern University.

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Host Monthly portfolio review meetings with each MGO to assess portfolio health
  • Host Quarterly portfolio strategy meetings with Prospect Development team, Major Gift Officer, and Executive Director of Development to discuss removals, additions and overall portfolio strategy for pipeline purposes
  • Responsible for the management and integrity of the information in the prospect management and tracking system (Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and NXT)
  • Manages the prospect management system and database to assure that actions and opportunities are current and properly coded
  • Create, maintain, and train University Advancement staff on the Moves management policy and procedure manual
  • Educate/train major gift team on various reporting processes and available tools for requesting research
  • Create moves management graphs and documents as requested
  • Supervise team of Prospect Development professionals (currently including Coordinator of Prospect Research and a part time Data Coordinator)
  • Partner with Prospect Research to ensure that leads identified by Prospect Research are being added to portfolios.
  • Plans/organizes regular meetings with the Executor Director of Development and with development officers to assign prospects, monitor timely movement through the pipeline, and develop and enhance strategy to convert prospects to donors.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant experience

Proposed Salary

$55,000 - $61,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
