The Associate Director of Research Development for Extension and Engagement will have an unprecedented opportunity to respond to these priorities by enhancing the societal relevance and public impact of research and scholarship at Montana’s land-grant university. Working as a member of both research development and extension leadership teams, this individual will play a vital role in increasing externally funded research and supporting MSU’s mission and status as a Carnegie-classified “very high research activity” (R1) and “community engagement” institution. As this is a new position, the Associate Director of Research Development for Extension and Engagement will have creative license when it comes to shaping the particulars of the role and fulfilling its broad charges of improving proposal development, elevating engagement and outreach in MSU’s academic culture, and increasing meaningful partnerships across MSU, Montana, and the West.
