Job Description:

The Fiscal Assistant II position is in the Cost Analysis/Construction Accounting department within the Finance & Accounting division. This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the University of Florida Research Participant Payment Program. The successful candidate will review and approve Study Fund Requests for accuracy, which includes reviewing the chartfield string to determine if it is accurately reported and is usable, check budget availability, request is not unreasonable with the IRB study.

In addition, to reviewing the SFR's this position will be responsible for distributing the correct payment type to the custodians of the requests for distribution. This includes preparing custodian receipt and responsibility statements, scheduling and coordinating pickup times with custodians.

Expected Salary:

$16-18 per hour; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and customers; to understand and apply applicable University, State and Federal rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to research participant payments. Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and orally; utilize problem solving techniques and to work independently.
