Job Description

Acts as the building coordinator and primary contact for emergencies. Fields and properly routes facility problems or complaints.

Maintains inventories for capital equipment, departmental vehicles, and yearly space assessment.

Coordinates with campus departments and vendors to perform work within the facility.

Performs daily door sheet checks and coordinates wekend and holiday checks with other staff and students. Alerts users to non-compliance of daily room check procedures.

Supervises one research maintenance technician, one operation support technician, and multiple student workers.

Coordinates repairs, orders supplies, and maintains parts inventories for cage washer to facilitate quick repairs. Runs cage washer during peak times.

Performs the necessary duties to maintain copier and poster printer service operations.

Maintains and issues user fee statements to facility users and reassess fees with Aninmal Science Research Center space committee. Enters journal entries into Peoplesoft and monitors facility and service operations accounts.

Coordinates with campus entities and other governing bodies for inspections of the animal and laboratory spaces. Reports animal numbers to OAR monthly.

Maintain training materials and Canvas training for new users.

Monitors facility users for SOP compliance and issues warnings and citations as necessary.

Provide security access and keys to facility users.

Primary contact for package and freight delivers and coordinates with other building staff to fulfill this roll when not available.

Place all Principal Investigator animal orders and facilities OAR sentinel animal monitor program for facility users.

Other duties as necessary to manage and operate the Animal Sciences Research center.

Salary

Salary Range: $47,476.00 - $84,505.00

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
