Position Summary
The University at Buffalo School of Nursing invites applicants for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist ( CRNA ) Clinical Faculty position. This is a part time appointment to teach clinically in the Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP ) Nurse Anesthetist program. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with clinical placement coordination, including review of clinical progress reports, traveling to clinical sites, independently or working with Nurse Anesthetist Program team to problem-solve clinical site or student clinical performance issues
- Participate and teach in all simulation experiences, including Anesthesia Crisis Resource Management ( ACRM ) and Introduction to Clinical Course

Minimum Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NYS or eligible for licensure in NYS .
- Initial certification and continued recertification by the National Board for Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
- A Master’s Degree from a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs ( COA ) accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program.
- A minimum of two years clinical experience as a CRNA .
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as a interdisciplinary healthcare team member.
- Must maintain clinical practice as a CRNA .
- Enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP ) or Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice ( DNAP ) program.
- DNP, DNAP, or PhD Degree.
- Previous experience as a clinical instructor in a COA accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
