Teach in and assist with developing an innovative and engaging psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program within a department and college that has a rich history of excellence in nursing education. 

The Department of Nursing is recruiting for a probationary tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant/Associate professor with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health.  

Interdisciplinary teaching and scholarship opportunities are readily available and supported by the university. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
-DNP from an accredited nursing program or Ph.D. in nursing; or doctorate in a related field with a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program; candidates near completion of the doctoral degree may be considered, contingent on completion of the doctoral degree prior to the start of the contract 
-Clinical practice experience as appropriate
-Unencumbered license as a registered nurse and advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the United States
-Eligible for immediate licensure in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered
-National certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
-Eligible for health care provider CPR certification, up to date to immunizations, and other verifications required by clinical agencies
-Satisfactory background study clearance as required by state statutes
-Demonstrated experience and/or commitment to the core values of equity, diversity, and inclusivity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
-Teaching experience in both undergraduate and graduate programs
-Professional nursing clinical experience
-Evidence of scholarly and/or research dissemination
-Experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner caring for clients across the lifespan
-Experience with curriculum and/or program development
-Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
