The School of Education at Syracuse University is looking for an individual who will teach EDU 655 Educational Tests and Measurements (3 Credits)
Basic theory underlying construction, evaluation, and use of educational tests. Construction and evaluation of achievement tests. Guided practice in test construction and test score analysis. Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Reading, Literacy, Learning Disabilities, or a related field required.
  • Ph.D. or ABD highly preferred.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Prior teaching experience at the University level required.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in educational diagnostic and assessment tools and statistical analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Develop/update the course syllabus in accordance with SOE standards.
  • Ordering in advance books and materials for students in the class to purchase on or before the first day of classes.
  • Preparing for classes.
  • Holding office hours each week for students in the class and others.
  • Grading in a timely manner student assignments and examinations for the course.
  • Completing accreditation assessment reports (if required).
  • Turning in mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University standards.
  • Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
  • Other responsibilities as indicated.
