The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Orthopaedic Shoulder/Elbow. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include resident, medical school teaching and fellow education in Shoulder and Elbow.

Clinical responsibilities may include establishing a shoulder and elbow practice in the Health System Hospitals and on-call responsibilities.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery as a Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon with a strong commitment related to research. Clinician Educators will typically be focused on collaborative research as co-investigators. Candidates should have a productive track record and evidence of scholarship.

Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and Fellowship Training is required.
