The Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences program at Butler University invites applications for a faculty position for a 9-month instructor for the academic year 2023-2024, renewable up to 3 years. We seek a dedicated teacher-scholar-mentor committed to the merger of theory and practice, experiential learning, and inclusive pedagogies.

Responsibilities include: Teaching undergraduate courses such as Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing, Phonology, Speech and Hearing Science; supervising students; and providing service to the university community. The candidate will join an active and productive program in the College of Communication. The department has 120 undergraduate students who participate in a variety of experiential learning opportunities, including in-house speech/language and audiology clinics. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and intercultural development in an educational and work environment and be able to contribute to diverse representation in the curriculum as well as the inclusion efforts on campus.

Qualifications : Minimum of M.A./M.S. with CCC in Speech-Language Pathology; teaching and supervision experience preferred. An interest in working with students and faculty from a variety of backgrounds and an ability to build connections within the professional community are also essential.
