Position Purpose
This position provides leadership and technology support for emerging learning technologies and instructional development related to extended reality applications. The individual will work with faculty to guide the production of 2D/3D animation and digital renderings for course content. This position will support and maintain equipment purchased for the Extended Reality studio(s) including AR/VR headsets, computers, and software. This individual is responsible for researching, evaluating, implementing, and testing new and innovative ways of using emerging technologies in the classroom. This position will assist with maintaining and developing new ways to engage our Workforce development partners in the AR/VR related services. This position will support the Extended Reality labs at both UCM campuses in Warrensburg and Lee’s Summit.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Services, or related field.

Experience
- Two (2) or more years experience with VR development in an educational setting required
- Proficiency Oculus Quest, Microsoft Hololens VR Development
- Familiarity with Unity Engine preferred
- Familiarity with EngageVR preferred
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:

Simulation Certification or ability to obtain in 2 years
