Job Description

The Department of Medicine within the School of Medicine at the University of Missouri is pleased to announce an opening for a Student Support Specialist II in the Medical Education office.

Job Description:
This position serves as a Department of Medicine staff liaison to 70 residents and several faculty members each academic year. This position helps track certifications, evaluations, licenses, conference attendance and more for Categorical and Prelim residents; provides support to the Chief Residents, Program Coordinator and Program Director, Clerkship Coordinator and Clerkship Director; helps proctor exams, and prepare for events such as Graduation and many regular meetings.; and helps with recruitment season.

Salary

Salary Range: $15.75 - $27.42 Hourly

Grade: GGS-007

University Title: Student Support Specialist II

Shift

Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. During fall recruitment season hours may be 6:30 am to 3:30 PM

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year experience in a medical education office is preferred. At least four years of experience in a professional office is preferred. Must be a fast learner with excellent communication skills and real-time, problem-solving ability who is able to multitask without constant supervision. Experience working with students and with Excel preferred.
