Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The Department of Physical Therapy is looking to hire a Physical Therapist with expertise in pediatric physical therapy (neonatal and school age) for PHTY 626 Lifespan I during the Spring semester 2023. Responsibilities include: Assisting with teaching pediatric evaluation and treatment techniques and administering practical tests in the primary pediatric course in the entry-level doctor of physical therapy program.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
• Current Virginia Physical Therapy License
  
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications:

• Board Certified Specialist in Pediatrics or certification in neonatal therapy.
• Teaching experience and clinical experience practicing pediatric physical therapy in neonatal or school aged settings.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary Range: $8,000
