A.T. Still University (ATSU) invites applications for a non-exempt Student Engagement Coordinator on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position reports to the Assistant Director – Student Life. The Student Life Coordinator will manage planning, and implementation of programs, services, and resources for students and student organizations on all ATSU campus locations, with an emphasis on Arizona and California. Deliver student focused programs and signature events while cultivating a campus culture of wellbeing and balance.
Job Duties:
- Design and implement programs in support of fostering student involvement and engagement on campus, as well as elevate programs hosted by registered student organizations. Coordinate university-wide events on multiple locations, and supervise department student employees. Maintain student organization resources, trainings, and re-registration process.
- Develop signature events activities/programs that follow university policies in both Arizona and California.
- Assist in coordinating Founders Day, and White Coat Ceremonies in Arizona and California
- Manage university service learning opportunities such as: TOPS and Corbin's Legacy.
- Supervise student employees.
- Maintain physical and digital presence of Student Life throughout campus.
- Coordinate:
- New Student Orientation programs
- Commencement Ceremonies
- Service Projects
- Performs research and other specific data collection
- Bachelor's degree.
- Relevant experience in Higher Education, Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal), experience leading groups.
- Experience coordinating special events, demonstrate knowledge of soft/hardware, experience working with students and student organizations.
- Candidates must be energetic, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, flexible, and have the ability to multi-task. A dedication to student success is essential. Must be well organized, display time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Dedicated to student learning/success, dedicated to graduate/professional school students, ability to juggle multiple projects, discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive material.
- Knowledge of social media, websites and publishing programs.
- Must have a valid drivers licenses and reliable transportation as this position will be required to travel between ATSU Arizona and California Campuses.
