The Opportunity


The Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) seeks qualified faculty to join the Department of Hospitality Services. This is a full-time, 9-month position at the rank of assistant professor (tenure-earning), or associate professor or professor (tenured). Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidates' credentials, background, and experience. This position has an expected start date of August 8, 2023.




The selected candidate will develop and instruct various courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of Hospitality Entrepreneurship and Innovation. All aspects of hospitality entrepreneurship and innovation are to be considered, although expertise in one or more of the following is highly desirable: Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Entrepreneurial Business Processes, Venture Startups, Opportunity Recognition, Product Innovation, Technological and Market Innovations. The incumbent will participate in university, college, and department committees; maintain liaisons with appropriate professional groups and industry partners; establish a strong research program, actively publish in appropriate journals, and seek grant opportunities.




Minimum Qualifications:


A Ph.D. in Hospitality/Tourism, Business/Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution by the time of appointment.




To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor or professor upon hire, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor.




Preferred Qualifications:


A demonstrated record of research resulting in publications in highly rated journals. A preferred candidate will have an exemplary teaching and service record in alignment with UCF’s mission and goals.
