Facilities Events and Transportation Operations Manager

Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Events and Transportation Operations Manager (Managing Assistant Director 3) is responsible for exercising general management and supervision over the University’s facilities operations, including events and transportation. Transportation management includes the coordination of bus/shuttle services provided to the university community and staff oversight. The Facilities Events and Transportation Operations Manager participates in the development and implementation of goals, policies and procedures for the Office of Facilities and does related work as required. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in event management, event planning, project management or a related field is required. A driver’s license valid in the State of New Jersey is also required. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis. Related experience in higher education is preferred. Candidate must have proficiency in Google Suite and basic computer operations. This position also requires the ability to perform essential functions that require moderate physical activity including, but not limited to: driving, walking long distances/standing for long durations of time outdoors/indoors, bending and/or stooping, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
