Location

Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

Provide administrative and clerical support to department or unit. Acts as a point of contact to other departments, students, faculty, customers, and outside agencies/vendors on behalf HR. Perform a variety of administrative duties, to include data input data management, email correspondence, filing, calendar management, event scheduling, mail distribution, answering phones, organizing mail, and purchasing supplies

Responsibilities
  • Greets individuals and general public
  • Monitors the HR email boxes and responds according or distributes to the proper
  • personnel.
  • Coordinates and supervises work of student assistants, work study students.
  • Keeps varied administrative and fiscal records, for example personnel folders, medical files and terminated files
  • Completes reports, questionnaires, documents, and forms
  • Answers the telephone
  • Operates various office machines and maintains supply inventory
  • Prepares and processes hiring packets for student workers and federal work study
  • Process new hire employees I-9 paperwork and IDs
  • Inputs new student hire into OneUSG and Banner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

An AA degree is required. However, in lieu of a degree, A combination of training and experience will be accepted with a minimum of 2-years’ experience as a clerical assistant at the collegiate level.

One year of using Microsoft Office Word and excel.

Must have at least two (2) years computer experience.

Must have at least two (2) years of clerical or office administrative experience;

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in HR

Proposed Salary

Salary range is from $25,000 to $35,000

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Experience with Microsoft Office, Work, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience with office equipment, copiers, computers, etc.

Exhibit excellent customer service, navigate web access and email.

Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required
