We are seeking a Research Program Coordinator to
help execute multiple studies related to cerebellar ataxia.
Successful applicants will be personable and dedicated individuals
with the ability and desire to help patients with diverse needs.
Strong applicants must be well-organized and be able to collaborate
not only with the principal investigators but also with the entire
research and clinical ataxia team. In addition, applicants should
be thorough and detail-oriented when performing all aspects of the
research including when conducting cognitive and clinical testing.
This position includes extensive interaction with patients with
neurodegenerative diseases.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate a study of instrumented monitoring of cerebellar ataxia patients.
- Maintain a database of patients seen at the Johns Hopkins
Ataxia Center.
- Conduct participant telephone screening, schedule and
coordinator participant research visits.
- Administer and score neuropsychological testing.
- Manage the collection of and assure the accuracy of data for
all participant visits.
- Process biosamples from individuals with ataxia.
- Perform blood draws on research patients.
- Assist the principal investigators in monitoring study progress
and defining and planning study goals.
- Assist ongoing protocol changes with the Institutional Review
Board.
- Additional tasks related to ataxia research as subsequently defined by the principal investigators.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology or related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $16.75 - $23.00/hr (Commensurate with
experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester
hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of

for the respective job.
