This position will have an active role in the daily support of Hyperion Planning and Essbase environment.
The position will work in a combined functional and technical environment and will work on a team responsible for the integration of financial transactional systems, data warehousing, data modeling and analysis, and planning and budgeting systems that support the delivery of financial and analytical data to business end-users.
The position will be responsible for the building, implementation, maintenance, and future system enhancements of the Hyperion Planning and Essbase environment and move toward the application in the cloud.
The position will also work on a team responsible for writing and maintaining queries and reports using the University Query and Reporting tool – Tableau. Qualifications
Preferred 3 years’ experience in Hyperion Essbase, dimension building, data load rules, creating calc scripts and MaxL scripts, user management and security of Essbase cubes using Essbase Block storage and Aggregate storage option. Job Specific Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required in MIS, Accounting, Computer Science or a related field. Responsibilities
  • Daily maintenance of Hyperion Planning systems, log clean-up, troubleshooting, user and group security, performance tuning, and dimension audits.
  • Create and update data audits for various feeder systems and applications to include (but not limited to) department tree, account tree, and several additional hierarchy trees used for application buildup.
  • Work on projects to enhance capabilities and services that the office provides with regards to the financial management of the university.
  • Preparation for annual budget and setup of training environment, including daily data audits, pre-system opening reporting, post-system closing reporting, and assistance with data feeds to HR and GL.
  • Assist with Estimated Final Reporting process, the monthly close process as needed.
