This position is responsible to develop, execute and lead marketing and brand strategies for NKU, including lead and coach direct reports to execute all marketing plans; manage, collaborate and work with internal and external partners to ensure the execution of marketing plans to support NKU’s vision and strategic plan. Also responsible for ensuring adherence of brand execution to the brand guidelines and ensuring goals and objectives are established and measured for all marketing plans. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the staff and resources for the Marketing department, including the overall budget.

Develop marketing strategies and plans in collaboration with the Associate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer and other team members, such as digital communications.

Execute and manage university marketing strategies and plans. Design and integrate innovative solutions into marketing strategies and plans.

Manage, collaborate and work with internal (e.g. Admissions) and external partners (e.g. agencies) to ensure flawless execution of marketing plans including budgets and timelines.

Partner with internal teams, academic units, and divisions and recommend strategies marketing, communication, and digital strategies and plans.

Research higher education marketing trends for recruitment and enrollment advertising. Provide a quarterly trend report with implications, innovations, and competitive landscape.

Analyze ROI for marketing plans and provide quarterly brand scorecards.

Ensure all brand executions are adhering to brand guidelines.

Serve as backup to the AVP and Chief Marketing Officer as required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, or communications and 10 years of experience in marketing or market research.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and contribute creative ideas. Strong leadership skills in coaching and managing others and successfully leading project teams. Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to analyze multiple data sets; make solid decisions about ROI for short-term and long-term results; and manage the strategic direction of the marketing team. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
