The Opportunity

The Flight Department at our Prescott Campus is looking to hire a FAA Testing Administrator to manage all aspects of the FAA Testing Center in accordance with FAA regulations. The Administrator will provide data support to Chairman of Flight Training, Flight Data and Certification Manager, Team Managers, Faculty, and the Flight Department Director of Business. They will administer and document test results annually and coordinate with PSI regarding decision-making changes in operational procedures of the Testing Center. They will also implement new FAA authorized procedures and provide a smooth transition of Testing Center processes and maintain high level of confidentially regarding applicant's records.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Supervise an efficient FAA Testing Center from registering an applicant and monitoring the Airman Knowledge Tests (AKT) and processing reports. Enforce accuracy and validity of all identifications and authorizations to test, required by FAA. Generate PSI vouchers to candidates that have paid and never taken an AKT exam and keep record of all vouchers issued. Reconcile monthly reports and vouchers issued and create corresponding invoices.
  • Troubleshoot testing station system errors and work with university IT department to resolve known issues.
  • Follow up on the exit surveys when there is a dissatisfied report created by candidate.
  • File an Incident Report when an unusual circumstance occurs during test sessions.
  • Provide statistical support to Flight Records Supervisor and Chairman of Flight Training. Distribute weekly ETA reports to Chief Flight Instructor, Team Managers, and support personnel. Organize and maintain class rosters with AKT grades for faculty each semester and ensure daily updates of the ETA database reflect current AKT scores.
  • Review all applicant documentation for FAA annual inspection and ensure Testing Center procedures, staff, site, data, and documentation comply with FAA regulations.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • High-school diploma
  • Must be 21 years or older and a US Citizen
  • Must pass a five-year criminal background check
  • Selected applicant must also pass the Annual Proctor Qualifying Test in order to become and remain an FAA Certified Testing Center Proctor
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong communicator
  • Detail and customer service oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree
  • 1-3 years' experience in a testing center environment
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations (FAA Procedures Manual, FAA Order 8100.15, and Order 8080.6)
