Job Summary
The Financial Aid Specialist will coordinate financial aid administration for all Elmhurst University students including awarding processes, preparation of materials for financial aid offer letters and missing information letters, and loan/grant processes. The position will manage the awarding of Elmhurst University endowed scholarships and assist with processes related to student employment and the Federal Work Study program. Flexible work arrangements such as remote work will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for financial aid awarding processes for all students
- Oversee Direct Loan, Pell Grant, and State aid processes for all students
- Assist with coordination of student employment processes
- Coordinate creation and printing of award offer letters and missing information letters
- Responsible for aid adjustments related to overawards and enrollment/status changes
- Manage awarding of endowed scholarships and Admission awards
- Perform R2T4 and other withdrawal related processes including exist counseling notifications
- Assist with developing policies and procedures and reconciliation in their area
- Work with Director on requests for audits, reporting, and other compliance areas
- Participate in on-campus functions/activities as needed
- Assist with customer service as needed
- Attend trainings and conferences in key areas and maintains an understanding of trends

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in financial aid administration
- Familiarity with federal and state financial aid regulations
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills
- Experience in federal, state, institutional financial aid awarding processes
- Ellucian Colleague experience
