The Department of Leadership Studies and Adult Education, within
the College of Education at North Carolina Agricultural &
Technical State University, seeks a dynamic and creative scholar
committed to equity, justice, quality online teaching, graduate
student success, strong research, and scholarly productivity. This
is a 9-month tenure track position responsible for transformative
learning and practice within varied professions. The Department
seeks a colleague with a scholarly research agenda grounded in
Organization Leadership, Higher Education Leadership and/or Health
Sciences Leadership to support the major content area tracks of the
Leadership Studies PhD program. Scholars who can support the active
engagement of the department and college with the promotion and
integration of interdisciplinary academic scholarship, quantitative
research methodologies, and community engagement with the College
of Education's forthcoming Center of Excellence for Educational
Equity Research is highly desired.
A successful candidate for the position is expected to do the following: Teach a range of field specific (Organizational Theory, Leadership Theories, etc) and research (Quantitative methodologies, mixed methodologies) graduate courses in Leadership Studies. Design, teach, and facilitate learning activities in an online learning environment. Provide student advising and mentoring in the profession Engage in programmatic curriculum development and assessment Participate in thesis/dissertation advisement and serve on committees Contribute to the scholarly enterprise of the Leadership Studies Program, the College of Education, and the university community which includes procuring extramural grant funding, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and conducting presentations at state, regional, national, and international professional meetings and conferences Attend department, college, and university faculty meetings Serve on department, college, and university committees and participate in other activities as assigned Support community engagement activities.
