Job Description:
SUNY Oneonta is accepting applications for the Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Utilities) position in the Heating Plant at the SUNY Oneonta main campus. There are currently two vacancies available. Shifts are bid and pass days may be on weekend days.
Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Utilities) duties include but are not limited to: Cleaning and performing maintenance on heating and utilities area and operating equipment; performing specific maintenance tasks as directed and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment; performing specific tasks in operating utility plant equipment to learn operating procedures. Requirements:
There is no education or experience qualifications for this class. To be eligible for the Facility Operations Assistant 1 (Utilities) you must:
- Be physically able to perform the tasks associated with the position and be able to carry out written and oral instructions. Candidates may be asked to demonstrate this ability as part of the interview process.
- Possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated when required to operate motor vehicles. As well as a valid driver's license is also required.
