Colby-Sawyer College is looking for a skilled and engaging full-time faculty colleague to join the new Medical Laboratory Science program in the School of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will have a broad range of expertise and experience in medical laboratory science that equips them to teach many (but not all) of the courses in the Bachelor of Science curriculum: Introduction to Medical Laboratory Science & Phlebotomy, Body Fluids / Urinalysis, Serology, Hematology I, Hematology II / Coagulation, Immunohematology, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science Case Studies, Laboratory Operations & Technical Writing, and ASCP Board Preparation.
This is a full-time, non-tenure track position with a start date of late August 2023. The position includes teaching, advising, and program and college service responsibilities.
Priority will be given to applications received by January 31, 2023.
Qualifications
Medical laboratory science expertise and experience; prior teaching experience (didactic, lab, bench, or combination); ASCP certification; and a philosophy of education consonant with Colby-Sawyer’s programs and mission. Preferred qualifications: master’s degree; knowledge and experience in program evaluation, curriculum development, and educational methodology; and knowledge of the NAACLS accreditation process. Familiarity with our affiliated clinical facility, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, is a plus.
