Assistant Professor in Quantitative Psychology

The Department of Psychology at The University of Rhode Island invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Behavioral Science beginning Fall 2023.

We seek an individual with expertise in quantitative methods that complements existing strengths in our department who will collaborate on innovative statistical scholarship with our quantitative faculty, and who will continue and enhance a long-standing tradition of excellence in methodology in the department. Current expertise includes longitudinal data analysis, missing data analysis, and multilevel modeling. Principal areas of interest should include multivariate analysis and structural equation modeling. Areas of quantitative specialization within these broad categories are open. We welcome substantive interests in areas of health science that are of vital concern to society and that offer opportunities for collaboration within our department and across the College of Health Sciences and the University. Existing strengths in the department include clinical and health psychology, social psychology, substance use and addictions, multicultural psychology, child/adolescent/young adult health, and clinical neuroscience. The position will address teaching and research needs in quantitative methods that are central to our undergraduate BA and BS, and graduate curriculums.
