Job Summary:
Gain experience working in a highly professional office setting with members of the college and the community! In this position you will greet and guide visitors to the President’s Suite and do office and clerical work.
Required Qualifications:
Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a current Linn Benton Community College student in good academic standing.
Student workers must have patience with customers and carry friendliness to visitors. Student workers must pay attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
Must have the ability to carry out the duties of the position under supervision of your supervisor. Must be able to work within a team and promote harmonious working relationships. Must be able to interact with customers in a manner which reflects positively on the department. Must be able to work respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic document editing skills and basic spreadsheet skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Learned physical skill is required to perform keyboarding functions and use of office equipment. Occasional lifting, guiding, or carrying of lightweight materials or equipment may be required. Sitting for extended periods while working at a computer terminal. Student workers must be able to communicate effectively one-on-one and as a collective team.
Work is performed in an office setting.
Essential Duties:
- Greeting visitors as they arrive
- Answering phones
- Scanning documents as needed
- Creating and populating spreadsheets
- Checking/counting office inventory and other clerical and reception duties as assigned.
