Job Description Summary
The University of Pennsylvania LGBT Center is hiring a part-time Building Coordinator (Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt). The average hours for the position are approximately 10-12 per week. This is a temporary position with an anticipated start date of January 9, 2023, and an anticipated end date of December 22, 2023.

Job Description

The Building Coordinator will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Carriage House, including but not limited to, liaising with facilities and housekeeping to ensure repairs are reported and taken care of in a timely fashion and the space is kept clean and orderly. They will also oversee the computer lab and report any issues with the computers and/or printers to the appropriate people.

The building coordinator will have quarterly meetings with the facilities area manager and the housekeeping supervisor to discuss improvements to the facility as well as the current state of cleaning and repairs. They will also attend general meetings for building managers when they occur.

It is the Building Coordinator's duty to manage room reservations through the online reservation system. The Coordinator will keep LibCal updated with all necessary information regarding room reservations. They will ensure all reservations are staffed with work study students and apprise them of client needs. The Building Coordinator will also create invoices, adhering to the pricing scale currently in place. They will work with the Business Administrator to track invoices and ensure timely payments.

The Building Coordinator will be supervised by one of the LGBT Center's Associate Directors and work with Center staff on other projects as assigned.

This is a temporary term position with an approximate start date of 1/09/2023 and end date of 12/22/2023.

Budgeted Hourly Rate

$20.00/hour

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is required.
