Job Summary
This position works with functional managers and developers to troubleshoot incidents, and shepherd configuration and development. The Student Financials Business Systems Analyst position is responsible for liaising with users to gather business requirements, create functional design specifications and test plans, and facilitate changes. Duties will include:
  • Mapping business processes using intermediate mapping methodologies
  • Making recommendations for the selection of technology solutions to align with business strategies
  • Designing, developing, and implementing data reporting and business intelligence systems
  • Providing procedural and technical guidance to unit staff regarding technology usage and management
  • Facilitating user training and developing user documentation
  • Performing data analyses and reporting
  • Providing guidance to other IT staff on specific project goals, outcomes, and technological components

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with ERP systems
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL
  • 1+ years of experience with reporting tools such as Power BI/Hyperion
  • Experience working with Excel reviewing and analyzing data

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Information Systems or related field
  • Experience with PeopleSoft ERP / Student Financials PeopleSoft module
  • Experience with office 365
  • 1+ years of experience using Power BI
  • 1+ years of experience with ERP systems as a functional user
  • Experience providing support to internal or external stakeholders
  • Experience troubleshooting/resolving system issues
  • Experience working in higher education
