Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant II position is responsible for performing complex administrative support assignments of considerable difficulty, initiate work and complete projects for the Provost & Office of the Provost, under general direction of the Multimedia Designer. This will require a high level of organizational skills, the ability to exercise independent judgment and work autonomously, excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, a proactive work approach, persistence, flexibility, and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of UW-Milwaukee organizational structure, work assignments, flow of work and procedural regulations among operating units
  • Skills in the use of microcomputers and software applications. Knowledge of the Windows environment, e-mail, calendaring and the Internet
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to budget time and to perform duties according to schedules and deadlines
  • Advanced word-processing skills
  • Good filing and organizational skills
  • Excellent skills in typing/keyboarding, spelling, grammar, and proofreading
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
