Senior Coordinator, Program Management



Summary

The School of Medicine, Office of Curriculum is hiring a Senior Coordinator, Program Management that will be responsible for the continued development, maintenance, and continuous quality improvement of an innovative, informative and Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Curriculum Inventory (CI) compliant map of the SOM Curriculum Office. This person will ensure an accurate curriculum map by establishing processes for task management, continuous updating, and review of the curriculum inventory. They will design reports, including visualizations of the map, necessary to communicate and assess curricular content and facilitate data-driven decision making in the medical curriculum. Working with curricular leaders and the curriculum committee, this person will develop and continuously improve a curriculum inventory that aligns with years one through four and ensures the ability to identify gaps and redundancies, track integrations, themes, and disciplines and also work with teaching faculty to ensure accurate mapping data are entered into our mapping system.

Job Duties

• Supports and trains the teaching faculty and others in the process of curriculum mapping and reviews for undergraduate medical education accredited program.
• Monitors the mapping of the curriculum, including the content taught in each course, so that the program’s instructional learning objectives will be achieved.
• Analyzes and maps the institutional learning objectives to course objectives and update the course learning objectives as approved by the Curriculum Committee.
• Participates in comprehensive reviews of the curriculum including information from each course and clerkship for the assessment of the longitudinal curriculum for such items as topic integration, service learning, interprofessional education, and student learning climate.
• Conducts reviews and reports findings to a range of target audiences.
• Assists with the day-to-day operations of an education program.
• Provides administrative support for the Curriculum Office Leadership team or other faculty, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, and preparing correspondence.
• Administratively supports the course directors/program coordinators.
• Manages the various system applications utilized in medical education departments (i.e. Blackboard, MedHub, SAP, E-Value, etc.).
• Provides course/program materials and documentation on matters relating to education courses.
• Interacts with course/program directors to facilitate course/program objectives.
• Performs critical tasks related to the annual review processes in collaboration with course/program directors.
• Ensures program, student, and department needs are met, resources are identified and recommendations are implemented for improvements or enhancements.
• Creates, implements, and maintains various system applications for all assigned courses/programs.
• Serves as the back-up administrator for one or more medical school subcommittees.
• Coordinates the administrative functions of the department’s medical education courses Coordinates annual onboarding and off-boarding processes for existing and new faculty/course directors/small group facilitators.

This position may manage multiple education programs:

  • Creates, monitors, and tracks documentation of committee and/or educational activities.
  • Provides administrative support for the Curriculum Office Deans/Directors, including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, preparing correspondence, answering phones, or greeting visitors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
